Thank you for your interest in the Arizona State Tax Credit for Eleonora Elizabeth O'Leary.
Eleonora is twelve years old and attends seventh grade at All Saints' Episcopal Day School on Central Avenue in Phoenix.
Your tax credit contribution made to the Institute for Better Education allows you to direct your Arizona tax dollars to Eleonora's education at All Saints' Episcopal Day School.
What is a Tax Credit
Arizona offers taxpayers the opportunity to make contributions to non-profit and school organizations with their tax dollars. By doing so you will reduce the amount of your tax due or increase the amount of your refund, on a dollar-for-dollar basis. There is NO NET COST to you.
By making a contribution to a qualified Student Tuition Organization (STO), like the Institute for Better Education (IBE), you may claim a dollar for dollar tax credit on your Arizona tax return. This is a way for you to direct your tax money to where you want it to go.
For example, during the year you might pay $500 to the state via withholdings in your paycheck. At the end of the year when file your Arizona tax return, your tax liability is $500 (AZ form 140, line 48.)
- If you DO NOT participate in the Arizona Tax Credits, you will owe nothing to the state since you’ve already paid $500 throughout the year to cover your AZ tax liability. The state will use that $500 for whatever it chooses to spend it on.
- If you DO participate in the Arizona Tax Credits and you make a $500 contribution to IBE in Eleonora's name before April 15, 2026, your $500 contribution will be a tax credit against your $500 tax liability and you will be refunded the $500 that was taken out of your paycheck! The best part is you got to choose where your $500 is spent.
In short, Arizona will use your contribution to IBE in Eleonora's name as a payment for your state tax liability.

Just click on the "Contribute Now" link. It will take you to the Institute For Better Education website. IBE is the the student tuition organization we have chosen for Eleonora's scholarship. From there you can direct your tax obligation to Eleonora and All Saints' Episcopal Day School in Phoenix.
